The goal of the webinar is to provide updates on the Data Pipeline and current and upcoming collections. These webinars also provide a forum for districts, BOCES, and Administrative Units to have questions answered about Data Pipeline. SDA Overview Replaces the Safety and Discipline Indicators (SDI) collection which was in ADE since SDI had 2 files, SDA has 4 files in order to group the data more appropriately: Action Taken by Race/Ethnicity and Gender Discipline by Student Demographics File Attendance Data File Incidents by Action Taken Discipline by Action File Firearm (GFSA) Data File Please note: The old Incidents by Action Taken file collected the counts of incidents AND the counts of Firearms The old Action Taken by Race/Ethnicity and Gender file collected both the count of students disciplined and the Attendance data for all schools 18

New Feature: No Reportable Incidents
Page created and developed for testing Purpose is for districts to indicate whether a school has Incident data and/or Firearm data to report If a school is indicated (default is Yes) to have data to report, then error will be generated if no data is in corresponding submitted file 20

Preliminary CRDC Schedule
Colorado Civil Rights Data Collection Schedule March 25 Districts that want to "Opt-Out" of CDE data provision should go into the system and make their selection to "Opt-Out". March CDE will load data and conduct data checks. March 30 Districts begin entering data and making corrections to CDE provided data as necessary. June 12 CRDC is expected to close. 25

Primary and Alternate CRDC Contact Persons will receive from ed.gov address Hard copy letters will be sent to superintendents acknowledging that the CRDC system is currently open

Opting Out of State Data Provision
Districts wanting to opt out of CDE provided data Log into system using and password Click on the ‘Admin’ link at top right Select ‘LEA Staff’ Look for the SEA staff June Rhodes-Maginnis Jan Petro Margaret Lake Hit ‘Remove User’ for each CRDC contacts will be sent OCR step-by-step document once received.

Opting Out of Certain Modules or Schools for State Data Provision
Districts wanting to opt out of certain CDE provided data Some districts have indicated they want to opt out of certain modules (also CRDC has option for schools) Steps are a tad more complex Must complete on March 25th if so choose CDE will populate data on March 26th Otherwise, LEAs may overwrite CDE data For TSDL, LEAs would choose modules COUR APIB EXAM CRDC contacts will be sent OCR step-by-step document once received.

CRDC and Integrated Math
CDE did not include Integrated Math in our CRDC course mappings If your district utilizes these course codes, then please add integrated math students to the appropriate provided total. 02061 52061 These counts may be added to Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II or other appropriate math category. Concern would be a deflated number of students in math courses.

What’s New for 14-15? Student Parent Association File NOT required
Student Address data NOT required- address fields may be left blank ESY field – Definition change not required until Old definition: Indicate if this student receives Extended School Year Services. New definition: Indicate whether the IEP team determined the student eligible to receive Extended School Year Services (not required until but acceptable in ). bottom line: either definition is acceptable in 14-15 ESSU IEP Interchange no longer in use Upload files straight to Data Pipeline (Excel, Text, or CSV file types) Excel template posted CSV and Text templates were removed as they were applicable to the ESSU system. 32
