Luminaries Ceramics
2
Learning Target: I can visualize and hypothesis to generate plans from previous knowledge and apply it with new knowledge for creating a luminary using the slab method.
3
Things to think about: Think about how you are going to create the form of the luminary. How are you going to create negative space for the light to shine thru? How is the smoke going to escape from the top?

Use your creativity to create a luminary of your choice.
Learning Target: I can visualize and hypothesis to generate plans from previous knowledge and apply it with new knowledge for creating a luminary using the slab method. Success Criteria Create a slab and make two circles that are the exact same size. Compress the clay and curve the shapes inward. Score the edges of the clay and join them together and blend the seams. Paddle to create a clean sphere. Cut off your lid or base and create a key. Line the inside of your lid or base with a slab so it stays in place. Create negative spaces in the form of designs, patterns, or images. The design demonstrates interests from all angles. Refine your work. Good Craftsmanship!!!
