5. Colief® Infant Drops Contains Lactase Enzyme, Glycerol and Water
“Transient Lactase Deficiency” (TLD) or “Temporary Lactose Intolerance” (TLI) – Defined:
Occurs when a baby is not producing sufficient levels of lactase enzyme and results in the inability to fully digest lactose.
Lactase is the enzyme our bodies produce to break down lactose into simpler sugars so that we can absorb it.
If not treated it causes the undigested lactose to be broken down by bacterial activity which can result in discomfort.
