Todays Notes: Opinion: is a statment of personal claim Factual Claim: is a main idea that can be proved from evidence such as facts or expert sources Common Assertion – A statement that many people assume to be true, but which is not neccesarily so. Loaded Lanuguage: words that are strongly positive or negative. Tips for Factual Claims: look at what the experts are saying. Look at the statistics.
