6 Friendship is important to your social health.
What makes a good friend? Trustworthiness Trustworthy friends are honest and reliable. They are Sympathetic Sympathetic friends are aware of how you may be feeling at a given moment. They care and respect you. They forgive you.

7 Friendship… How do you make friends? What about dating? Be yourself.
Do not pretend to be someone you are not. Make an effort to meet new people. Join a club or team. Join a youth group or worthwhile cause. What about dating? During adolescence, you may begin to feel attracted to others. Dating is a special form of friendship. It involves two people who enjoy each others company and who share common interests and values. An alternative to individual dating is spending time in a group setting.

The influence to go along with the beliefs and actions of other people of your age. Negative pressure is often easier to recognize than positive peer pressure. Positive Peer Pressure Negative Peer Pressure Pressure that inspires you to be the best person you can be! Pressure to do something that could hurt you or others. Trying out for a team Make fun of someone Trying something new and different. Try dangerous things. (drugs) Participate in dangerous activity.

12 Styles of communication
Peer Pressure Refusal skills are communication strategies that help you say NO effectively. Styles of communication Aggressive Communication Speaking in a way that is overly forceful, pushy, hostile, or otherwise attacking in approach. Passive Communication A tendency to give up, give in, or back down without standing up for your rights and needs. Assertive Communication Behaving with confidence and clearly stating your intentions.
