Grading Policies Homework is graded on effort. There is no
B C – 79 D 60 – 69 F 40% - Tests/Projects/Papers 30% - Quizzes 20% - Classwork 10% - Homework Homework is graded on effort. There is no turn in for late homework Late work – 10 points will be deducted. Extra Credit – There is no extra credit. Home Base is updated weekly.

SMART Block SMART Block will be a daily 30 minute block of time.
Each area will have one priority day that can be used to ensure that students attend. Monday: Social Studies Tuesday: LA Wednesday: Science Thursday: Math Friday: Electives/PE Students can choose to go to electives, the auditorium for silent reading, the cafeteria for study hall, the computer labs, or the gym.

Expectations When Leaving the Classroom During Class During Locker Time P Perseverance Patiently and safely get to your destination on time. Raise your hand. Wait to be recognized before speaking. Remain on task. Work responsibly by completing all work and not disrupting others. Do not leave materials in the hall or in someone else’s locker. + R Respect Use inside voice and non-offensive words. Walk on right side of hall. Follow directions of all staff. Be in your seat on time. Be kind to others. Do not draw on desks or walls. Use materials responsibly. Return what you borrow. Clean up after yourself. Use your own locker. Keep your locker locked with all personal property inside, including electronics. Keep your area tidy. + I Integrity Follow the rules even when no one is watching. Follow expectations. Be on task. Stay positive and use appropriate words, tone, and actions when speaking to others. Be aware of others’ personal space and belongings. + D Dedication Walk directly to your destination. Carry agenda with you at all times. You cannot leave without agenda. Everyone participates. Bring required materials (including agenda) with you to class each day. Bring only water in clear containers. Do not bring food, gum or candy to class. Use class change time responsibly. 10-10 Rule Students may not leave the classroom for any reason during the first or last 10 minutes of any class. Bathroom and water visits and locker time need to be taken care of during the class changes. Students do NOT leave the room without an agenda. Ever. Students MUST leave their device in the valet bin.

Tardy Policy Students are expected to be on time to all of your classes. On time means you and all of your belongings are in your assigned seat when it is time for class to start. Students should always check the board for their homework, warm-up activity, table of contents for their journal as well as directions for class assignment.

Novels Students are taken to the media center regularly to check out books. Students are expected to have a novel with them at all time in all classes.
