PROPOSAL INTRODUCTION (I)
Vision: Reduce PDP time by use of manufacturing processes simulation. Project will focus on springback prediction by simulation, including tests for material characterization Motivation: PDP for elementary composites parts means a lot of time and resources, which becomes very costly. For example, the spring-back is controlled after manufacturing giving rise to a great quantity of non-conformities and changes of the tooling.

PROPOSAL INTRODUCTION (II)
Expected results Avoid extra tooling cost: 20-30% curing tools Reduce 20% development Secure P2P assembly Reduce cost of assembly jigs Reduce the manufacturing lead time of the composite parts

PARTNERS Partner search: Partners with experience/capabilities in:
Curing simulations and tooling correction: CFRP properties characterization (friction, creep, tool-part interaction) Curing tool correction Assembly simulation / parts stiffness study
