Cook’s Corner of Westmore:
*In Reading Workshop we continued building Reading Workshop.
*In Writing Workshop we talked about the Traits “Word Choice” , “Voice”, “Sentence Fluency”, and “Conventions” to build in our writing.
*In Math Workshop we continued Chapter 1 “Addition and Subtraction Within 1,000”
*In Science we continued Chapter 1 “Plants and How They Grow”. We planted our Marigold seeds.
*In our Read Aloud we continued our chapter book Gregor the Overlander.
Tests Next Week:

Thurs.-math fact timed test
Fri.-Chapter 1 Math Test
(will work through together for the first one)

The password attached is your child’s district password to use in other programs also such as Typing Club, Science Pearson , ThinkCentral, etc. when we begin them. Please keep this password somewhere safe at home.
*Please let me know if you had any questions regarding Curriculum Night. There were many sign-ups for volunteers in the classroom for Fluency help, Math Fact help and Surprise Readers. Please contact me if you are interested in signing up for any of these volunteer opportunities.
