Phonology
Be able to identify minimal pairs
Be able to identify which data set has complementary distribution and which does not
Be able to identify the different parts of a syllable on a blank syllable tree
Be able to identify what phonetic characteristics sounds share in common (natural classes; multiple choice)
[s] and [f] are both:
a. voiced affricates
b. voiceless fricatives
c. voiceless stops
d. alveolar consonants

Morphology
Be able to identify morphemes in a data set (will be given multiple choice or a list of options for matching morphemes to their meanings)
Be able to identify word formation processes or other morphological processes (given a list of terms and/or multiple choice) - especially difference between derivation and inflection!
