2.4 Styles Tuesday, September 11, 2018 The Styles menu is located under the Home tab. This style is very useful to organize thesis chapters by using changing in the styles. Normal for body text, Heading 1 for chapter headings, Heading 2 for subchapters, Heading 3 for sub- subchapters and so forth. 4. Sections and page numbers Tuesday, September 11, 2018 Word has two types of breaks: Page Breaks and Section Breaks. To change your numbering in a section, first you will need to apply a Section Break. Section Break means no connection between pages or make it and set the numbering as you want. Insert tab under the Header & Footer grouping, click on the drop down arrow under Page Number and choose the style you would like to use. Scroll to the next section that you want to be numbered differently and be sure you are in that section in the Header or Footer.
