Sheltering There are 1301 people in 12 shelters in 3 counties. This includes 3 Special Needs Shelters housing 104 patients. The Salvation Army has 5 canteens on standby. each canteen can prepare 1,00 to 2,000 meals per day. No TSA kitchens are available and are not expected to be needed. ARC has yet to announce their service capacity and yesterday's meal count is 2,984 Unmet Needs None at this time Future Operations Preparing to provide resource support for TSA and ARC operations as needed. As of the 9/ , there is one Open SpNS Shelter with a total of 75 Clients&Caregivers, and 16 SpNS Clients in ARC Shelters Health Care Facilities Successfully evacuated 256 patients from health care facilities in the Keys Outpatient dialysis patients are currently being treated (e.g. renal diet and medications) under an Emergency Disaster Plan.

Bulk million gallons available now, 77.2 mg available in 3 days and mg available in 9 days. Retail -80% along the I-95 corridor in Miami Dade and Broward Counties have plenty of fuel, while 20% were low. 70% along the FL Turnpike have plenty of fuel, while 20% were low and 10% were out. Fuel availability in Collier County along I-75 generally was good. Regionwide: 80% in Miami-Dade and Broward have plenty of fuel, while 17% were low and 3% were completely out.  75% in Collier County have plenty of fuel, while 25% were low. Contracts for dedicated tankers for1st Responders are in place: 3 tankers are staged at Homestead Airport (Civil Aviation side) with USAR, 1 tanker staged at Key West at new NWS Office.

Bulk -3.9 million gallons available now, 1.9 mg available in 3 days and 8.3 mg available in 9 days Retail - Evacuation Corridor:  100% have plenty of fuel. Regionwide: 85% in Escambia County have plenty of fuel, 15% were low. 63% in Santa Rosa County have plenty of fuel, while 37% were low.  67% in Okaloosa County have plenty of fuel, while 23% were low. Refineries - There are four refineries that remain shut down, and expectations are that these refineries, which represent about 5 percent of total U.S. refining capacity, could be shut down for an extended period. Oil Production - 56% of daily oil production was still shut down in Gulf. Production is not expected to return to normal for several weeks.

Tanker contracts expire 9/29, ESF-1&3 on-site management. Retail stations are coming on-line. Small Quantity Vendor for MS see Tracker Katrina Propane deliveries from Gulfport restored - See Tracker Katrina 2698 ELECTRICITY Mississippi - All customers that can safely receive power are receiving power. 26,226 customers cannot safely receive power. Rita  Hurricane Rita has left approximately 24,800 customers without power, so far. Florida Power & Light:  Total - 18,800 Broward - 3,800 Dade - 14,900 Palm Beach - 100 Municipals:  Total - 3,500 City of Key West - 3,500 Cooperatives:  Total - 2,500 Key West Electric Co-Op

474 Soldiers & Airmen activated in support of Katrina Joint Task Force ENG: Continue to demolish, clean and prep sites as needed get schools up and running Joint Task Force-FL: 18 ongoing security and humanitarian aid missions in Bay St. Louis and Hancock County Task Force Spoon: providing oversight of feeding operation for 8,000 military/civilian personnel Task Force 83: Forward Logistics Element (FLE) Pensacola Armory supporting JTF-FL RITA 1,412 Soldiers & Airmen activated in support of Rita Troops available: 7,000 plus to support emergency operations in Florida as needed Aviation assets available: 8 x UH-60, 2 x CH-47 (1 needs F/E), 3 x OH-58, 1 x C12, 1 x C23, 1 x C-130 & 1 x C-26 Planning cells for major commands are activated Task Force 164th consolidating forces in VIC Homestead in order to quickly deploy to Florida Keys in support of security and humanitarian aid missions.
