20 MZ Adapter What is NobelProcera Abutment Zirconia MZ?
The NobelProcera Abutment Zirconia MZ (“Metal in Zirconia”) is an abutment consisting of three components: Custom-designed and industrially milled NobelProcera Zirconia component Standard titanium “MZ adapter” (comprising the necessary implant interface and platform size), which is inserted and cemented into the Zirconia component Standard TorqTite clinical screw Workflow required to cement NobelProcera Zirconia Abutment onto an MZ adapter Preparation of the components prior to cementation Application of pre-bonding agent Cementation Pre-polymerization Final polymerization preparations Final polymerization Refer to NobelProcera Abutment Zirconia MZ Handling Guide for detailed information Disclaimer: Some products may not be regulatory cleared/released for sale in all markets. 21 Abutment veneering guidelines
Important guidelines for direct veneering on NobelProcera abutments with metal insert For direct veneering the Titanium insert needs to be removed before firing After veneering, prior to firing remove all ceramic particles in the screw access hole and on the abutment seating platform If the Titanium insert is removed you need to be very careful when you reposition the insert – use magnification 21

Clinical procedures When torqueing down the NobelProcera Abutment, make sure you have the correct abutment screw: Lab screws (ordered separately) For Titanium solutions use the separate laboratory screws available For Zirconia solutions the dental laboratory has to use a definitive Zirconia abutment screw All lab screws have a shiny surface Clinical screws (included) TorqTite screws are utilized with the exception of NobelReplace PS NP which has a shiny metal surface similar to the lab screw Note the difference between the Titanium and Zirconia abutment screws Clinical screw for Ti abutment Clinical screw for Zr abutment Clinical screw for NobelReplace PS NP (Ti abutment) Note: Follow the clinical procedures for each respective implant system.
