NPRM Proposes Near-Term and Long-Term Indoor Location Accuracy Metrics
50 meter horizontal axis accuracy for 67% of 911 indoor calls within 2 years of rule adoption, increasing to 80% at 5 years
3 meter vertical axis accuracy for 67% of 911 indoor calls within 2 years of rule adoption, increasing to 80% at 5 years
Comments also sought on speed to generate location fix, reporting requirements, complaint process, etc.

2. Indoor Location Accuracy NPRM
Propose that NPSTC Develop Comments which:
Note potential application of indoor location technology also in locating firefighters, law enforcement and EMS personnel;
Support the inclusion of vertical axis as well as horizontal axis location metrics; and
Encourage continued FCC focus on, and industry development of, technology that improves location accuracy
