2 What does classroom support do?
Maintain CSU General Assignment classrooms to function 365 days a year Repair and college and department classrooms on a billing basis (they pay for equipment and labor) Consult with architects and planners on AV systems in all new buildings. Assure classrooms meet CSU design standards Funding: UTFAB is the primary source of funding for all GA room upgrades Classroom Review Board provides baseline funding for maintenance

3 What is a smart classroom?
Smart classrooms have: Lectern with AV control system Data projector Sound system Document camera Touch screen monitor (in process of adding) Laptop connections for projectors Blu-Ray DVD player

4 What is a lecture capture classroom?
Lecture capture adds to the Smart classrooms: Pan / Tilt / Zoom (PTZ) camera Echo360 lecture recorder All lecture capture rooms have touch screen monitors Microphone system to record instructor audio Remote control software for CSU Online instructor assistance

Budget for FY 18: $209,709 (includes $ carry forward from FY17) Equipment and labor billed: $176,088 Balance remaining: $33,261

10 WHAT HAPPENED so far IN FY 18
Echo had“buy 5, get 1” promotion through June 15. UTFAB re-allocated FY17 $20,588 for purchase of 10 Echo Pod recorders (plus 2 free) and installation $18,000 for Pod recorders (10 recorders + 2 spares) $2,588 for installation labor TOTAL: $20,588 RESULT: 11 Echo recorders are being deployed in Walnut (8) and Stadium (3) rooms.

Echo license: $96,400 ACNS virtual server: $7,560 (This cost goes away in FY19) Total: $105,270 FY 18 PARTNERS IN LICENSE PAYMENT UTFAB funding request: $53,000 CSU Online $39,628 Installation kits (10) $1,310 ($40,930 TOTAL) CSU Colleges $11,332 THESE COSTS HAVE BEEN PAID.
