All nursing homes and skilled nursing units in the state who care for residents with Medicare.

Improve resident mobility Reduce antipsychotic drug use in residents with dementia Implement Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs)

To Drive and Sustain Systemic Change… it must be championed by effective leaders that are equipped to develop high functioning teams utilizing QAPI methodology, as well as, effective communication skills. Leaders must have input and buy-in from all staff in order to sustain systemic change. Scott Gibson , QI Advisor for Qsource of KY is now going to share with you some of these important leadership concepts from Kotters and TeamSTEPPS that we have learned throughout these 18 months. 5
