Legal Deposit Act for Electronic Materials/Documents (2012:492),

Legal Deposit Act (1993:1392) for documents (printed and audiovisual)
The first Swedish Legal Deposit Act for prints came 1661; 1979 for audiovisual material and broadcasted radio and TV
1997 – Web harvesting the Swedish web
2002 – Selective web harvesting of newspapers web sites every day
As Gunilla mentioned earlier Sweden has had a legal deposit legislation since 1661 in terms of analog printed materials which then were updated in 1979 to include audiovisual materials and broadcasted radio and television. And the Swedish web have been collected since 1997 through web harvesting.
The purpose has been to follow the development of how information is published over time, and the transitions to new channels.
Since January 1 this year the Swedish Legal Deposit Act for analog material has finally got a fully effective complement – The Legal Deposit Act for Electronic Materials. The purpose of this new legislation is to capture things that are either not covered by previous legislation or have been difficult to collect through web harvesting.
Subject to legal deposits are electronic materials that have been made available to the public in Sweden by transfer via network.
All who are guaranteed freedom of speech and press by the Swedish Constitution, Freedom of Press Act is compelled under law to submit material as well as municipal and federal authorities
and Business enterprises which create or distribute electronic materials
To provide a reasonable comprehensive picture of Swedish cultural heritage
it requires a combination of these laws as well as web harvesting, although the web harvesting is not acknowledged by law.

Deliveries of materials to the system can be done in three different ways.

First, we have support for feeds through RSS and the OAI-PMH. This "pull" delivery method is fully automated. The supplier puts up a feed and KB retrieves the metadata and files.
<CLICK> We also support for FTP (SFTP). … ……… suppliers deliver according to any of our specifications

The supplier can also perform a manual upload via our web form and enter the metadata that are mandatory. This must be done for each publication, one by one, and thus suited best for publishers with few publications.
The supplier can use and combine all these delivery methods in any manner.
