2. Introduction
This Greek power point is a summary of what we have learnt this term about Ancient Greeks. It will contain facts about: Gods and Goddesses, Athens and Sparta, The Ancient Olympics, Greek Myths and The Greek Legacy.

3. Greek Gods and Goddesses
There 12 main Gods and Goddesses and lots of others. The first one we are going to be talking about is the king of the Gods , ZEUS. He was the boss of all Gods and Godedesses.His defence was a lightning bolt and he threw it like a spear. His animal was the Eagle. That is enough on him lets move on to his wife, HERA. She is the Queen of the Gods and Goddesses, but Zeus is her boss. Her defence were her looks and her animal is a Crane and she even turns into it.

4. Athens and Sparta
We have been learning about two Famous Greek Cities-Athens and Sparta. They have been rivals but they have helped each other in wars that they haven’t been against each other. Athens was quite a posh city that tried to gain other land ,but on the other hand Sparta was quite a poor city that focused on defence. Both of there arch nemesis were troy.

5. The Ancient Olympics
The Ancient Olympics first originated in Ancient Greece, and was invented by the Ancient Greeks and the first Olympics were first held in 776BC. They contained different events such as wrestling, Boxing ,Pankration-a mix of Boxing and Wrestling, Trumpeting, the naked race, the Chariot race and last but not least, the race in Armor.At the end the winners would receive a wreath.

6. Greek Myths
We have been learning about three Greek myths such as Theseus and the Minotaur, Persephone, Pandora’s box and The Trojan horse. We really enjoyed learning about the myths and we will be writing a story about one of the three myths. We both enjoyed Theseus and the Minotaur the most . The myth was about a young prince that went to Crete, which is a island, to be eaten by the minotaur but at the last minute Theseus slayed the evil monster.

7. The Ancient Greek Legacy
The Ancient Greek Legacy contained The Olympic Games, The shape of the Earth and the Solar System, architecture , Greek potery,Greek myths . All of these things are still helping us today.
