Change is always accompanied by pain, for everyone
some embrace it quickly, others more slowly
slow embracers may end up being important contributors
Don’t forget the “why”

12. Mindsets of Change
People experience discomfort – they’re taken outside their comfort zone. Some people experience more discomfort than others.
People feel alone – they often think they’ll be left out on an island with no help
People feel that they need to give something up – they focus on what they’re losing rather than what they might gain
People have to see that the benefits outweigh the change
