Legend:
Percentage values for the Hearing Handicap Inventory for Adults (HHIA) are presented for the emotional (Em) and social (Soc) subscales along with the overall (Total) score. A score of 0%–16% indicates no handicap, a score of 17%–42% indicates a mild–moderate handicap, and a score of 43% or greater indicates a significant handicap.
