Crime: An Exploration Part I: Using online resources locate and summarize four recent (within the last two months) articles that demonstrate crimes in the US. At least two of the articles should be based in local incidents. At least one needs to involve someone being charged as an “accessory.” At least one needs to involve someone being charged with “attempt.” For each, be sure to provide the type of crime (felony/misdemeanor) as well as a description of how it impacted the community. Highlight any pertinent terms/vocab. Part II: Using any available online or print resources, create a brief argument that explains what you believe to be the two most important factors influencing a citizen who commits a crime. Then, you must discount one “commonly viewed” cause of criminal behavior. (In order to earn full credit for your responses, you must provide clear, decisive explanations/claims. Back up your argument at least two citations of quantifiable arguments/stats, and at least one image to make your message clear.) Your final product for part two will be three “individually titled” paragraphs that outline an argument, present and analyze data, and [possibly] include attached data.
