Simple compression test for DVT
Simple compression test for DVT. The vast majority of DVTs are located in either the proximal femoral vein or at the popliteal vein. Locating and compressing the veins in these locations is an accurate way to rapidly evaluate for DVT. This is an example of normal complete compression of the femoral vein, which rules out DVT at this location. Source: Chapter 8.
