8 What is Google Voice? Google Voice is an online answering machine.
It allows students to call and leave a message for the teacher. Google Voice can also be used to send text messages.

9 Quick Facts about Google Voice
Students do NOT need a Google account for this. They just need a phone. Teachers can set up the account so that their own personal phone is NOT connected. Consider setting up a separate Gmail account All voic s are recorded, sent to the Gmail account, and can be heard by clicking on the message.

Practice before speaking exam Good oral formative assessment throughout unit Provide individualized feedback to each student Benefits students in a large class who don’t get to speak often Allows shyer students or students with special needs to communicate in a low-stress environment **Make sure students say FULL name/ possibly class period
