2. Senate Bill 364 – 2016 General Assembly
Directs Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) to develop a plan under the local option health insurance plan with benefits similar to those in the state employee health insurance plan using a single rating group.

3. Preliminary Rates February 22, 2017 Notification by DHRM
210 groups had expressed interest
102,390 potential enrolled employees
204,029 potential enrolled members
Minimum of 5,000 employees & 10,000 members required
July, 2018 – target date for plan to be offered
Preliminary rates for COVA Local for FY2019 projected to be the same as rate for state COVA Care Basic plan
