Patients over 40 and under 13 Kiosk tests hearing and sorts patients into standard audiological categories At least 50% of those tested have a hearing problem that is either treatable (conductive) or permanent (sensorineural) The Sensorineurals (typically 25%-30% of those tested) are prompted to seek further evaluation by the hearing health professional partnered with the pharmacy; up to half will be hearing instrument candidates
