Charter & Code; HRS4R Seminar on topic „Charter and Code in Montenegro – how further“ was held on 26/12/2016 at the University of Montenegro, as the project activity; Attendees had an opportnity to hear also about possiblities to develop their careers through Euraxess.

Training for trainers – 05-07 April, Universtiy of Belgrade, Belgrade
Montenegrin delegation consited of three members attended the 3 day training organized at the University of Belgrade within the Project; Tematic scope: writing research proposals, researchers’ ethics, international mobility within EURAXESS network and intercultural communication.

Criteria on the Conditions and Requirements for Promotion to Academic Titles
These Criteria define the conditions and requirements for promotion to academic titles at Higher Education institutions; They have been issued at the meeting of Council of Higer Education on 20th June 2016; The structure of the document is made from the following parts: General provisions; Requirements and criteria; Evaluation (Qualitative and Quantitative); Definitions of Key Terms; Transitional and final provisions. Code of Ethics The principles of „Code of Ethics“ are in force since 2015; This Code of Ethics regulates the moral and professional principles which are adhered to all academic and other staff and students, with the aim of preserving and improving the dignity and reputation of the University of Montenegro, according to its mission, as well as the procedure for cases of the violation of these principles. It is consisted from the following parts: Part I – Moral and Professional Principles: Professional responsibility; Responsibility towards Students and Responsibilities of Students; Responsibility towards Colleagues; Responsibility towards the Institution; Social Mission; Responsibility for Violation of Intellectual Property; Implementation. Integrity Plan Integrity Plan of the University of Montenegro is an internal anti-corruption document that includes a comprehensive list of legal and practical measures that prevent and remove possibility of corrupt behavior to arise, due to the complexity of exposure to risks for development of corruption, illegal lobbying and conflict of interest as well as ethic and professionally unacceptable acts Web link:

Plagiarism Tools University of Montenegro purchased iThenticate - the most famous software for plagiarism detection, in april 2017; Scientific Board in cooperation with the Centre for Doctoral Studies and Quality Assurance Centre of the University of Montenegro will conduct more intensive control of doctoral dissertations and master theses; In addition to the funds of project, funds from the HERIC (Higher Education Research for Innovation and Competitiveness) project were also used for procurement of this software; University of Montenegro is currently preparing regulation on the use of antiplagirism software. Software compares writings in formats txt, pdf, doc, both with papers in journals with open access - „open access“, and with papers in journals without open access, with books, collection papers from conferences as well as web contents in English and other languages.

REDOS – Reforming Doctoral Studies at the University of Montenegro
Project dealt with one of the most acute problems in Montenegrin higher education: harmonization of Doctoral Studies (DS) with the needs of academia, industry and society at large, as well as with advanced EU and oversees practices. The overall objective of the project was to reform Doctoral Studies at the University of Montenegro in line with the Bologna Process and Salzburg Principles, by fostering quality of doctoral research and synergy between academia, industry and innovation. Strategy for Doctoral Education ( ) – draft version Strategy for doctoral education is an important institutional document in order to determine priorities in further development of doctoral education as well as to foster research; Strategy should help to improve the present status of doctoral studies at the University and to have a positive impact on nurturing quality culture. Strategy is focused on quality aassurance in doctoral education, doctoral programmes structure and functioning, research capacity and its optimization, and individual development of doctoral students preparing them for different careers. Summer School „New Culture of Doctoral Studies“
Held from 7th to 12th July 2017 in Cetinje and Kotor; Workshops for mentors and PhD students; Wide tematic scope – methodological approach in the research, new achivements in science, providing mentorships for PhD students, ethics in research, finding relevant scientific bases and magazines, interdisciplinarity as a chosen approach in PhD studies and research, discussion about Doctoral Studies in Arts; International Summer School – Lecturers and PhD Students came from Slovenia, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Bosnia nad Herzegovina and Albania.

TRAIN Program for Professional Development of Academic Staff and Researchers University of Montenegro, with the support of King Baudouin Foundation, was implementing the TRAIN project, in order to develop, improve and evaluate a training program for professional development of academic staff, focused primarily on the future professors and teaching assistants. The goal was the development of new staff in the universities of the Western Balkans (partners in the project were also University of Belgrade, University of Novi Sad and the University of Sarajevo). Three wide thematic scopes: 1. Project Management 3. Development of the Curricula in Higher Education 2. Methodology of Scientific Research

TRAIN Eight modules were organised:
Preparing Funding Applications and Project Management; Methodology of Scientific Research, module 1; Design of the Curricula in Higher Education; Methodology of Scientific Research, module 2; Methodology of Scientific Research in Social Sciences; Methodology of Generic Research; Presentation and Communication Skills; Methodology of Scientific Research, module 3; and there were 9 trainers and 100 participants.

Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions
Ministry of Science and University of Montenegro organized an Info day to promote the new call for MSCA applications which was open until 15th September 2017; At this event, experienced researchers had an opportunity not only to hear about MSCA scholarships, but also about Euraxess, Charter&Code and HR Excellence logo in order to improve their search for mentors and host institutions.
