When writing your resume:
Keep your intended position in mind Keep things relevant Use action verbs Quantify whenever possible I processed entries and installed works I processed over 300 entries and installed 30 works over the course of 2 weeks. PROOFREADING IS IMPORTANT

It’s not just what is in your resume…
It’s how you present it too! Formatting is important! White space What looks good? Simple Fonts! NO SERIFS Create a letterhead for yourself Make yourself stand out Use quality paper Details!

What a difference a year makes!
Look for opportunities to build your resume Volunteering, changing jobs, special projects Take relevant courses Set up a calendar to regularly update your resume Don’t forget awards and honors Have multiple people look over your resume

A Good Cover Letter Should Include:
Personalization! Know the name of the person you are writing to Know something about the institution Why do you want this internship in particular? What skills would you like to gain? What will you contribute to the institution? When are you available? (hours, weeks)
