Sponsored by Caroline Kotterer. A local teenager who lives in Mooresville, and has been effected by Breast Cancer. She is a Freshman in the IB program at South Iredell High School, former Farms resident, year round swimmer for the Lowes YMCA and member of the Lake Norman Soccer Club 99 Eclipse.
This will be the 4th local event she has sponsored or co-sponsored. She has been committed to the event for the last several years in honor of her Mother, who has been fighting since 2011.
Breaststroke 4 Hope is national initiative, official equipment sponsor is Speedo. This is a grassroots non-profit organization that is dedicated to raising money for breast cancer education and awareness through a series of swim-a-thons and a series of Speedo equipment.
A majority of donations (95%) go to support the Women’s Breast Initiative,

3. The Women’s Breast Health Initiative is a grass roots organization that aligns with Breaststroke 4 Hope on helping women fight Breast Cancer.
This organization was chosen by Breaststroke 4 Hope due to their unique door to door approach of addressing Breast Cancer awareness in the lower economic areas.
The Women’s Breast Health Initiative coordinates services that bring free breast cancer screenings to women who do not have health insurance, one door at a time. offering breast cancer screenings at the local hospitals or through certified neighborhood mobile vans.
The Women’s Breast Health Initiative and Breaststroke 4 Hope are driving for the same goal.

6. What we are asking for? We are asking for 100% participation from all the Lake Norman Community Summer swim teams, on the day of the event We will conduct a fee based raffle during the event, all collections will go to Breaststroke 4 Hope and the Women’s Breast Initiative. Your teams will be recognized and acknowledged on the website and during the event.
