1. How to hook up hosting nameservers on Godaddy
Often the Domains are registered at one location and the actual website files at another location. For example the domain Moonlighthk.com is registered at Godaddy but the website is hosted on Hostgator. To have the the website files display under the domain Moonlighthk.com (Hostgator),
We need to add the IP address or nameservers at the domain registrants (Godaddy) Cpanel.

2. Let’s say we want to hook up our Wordpress installation which is hosted on Hostgator with
the domain Moonlighthk.com . What you need from Hostgator is the Nameserver details, (there are usually 2) and the IP Address. NOTE - If you already have the Nameserver details it’s likely that you don’t need to worry about the IP Address.
If you don’t know your Nameserver names, you can find these on the Hostgator Cpanel at Simple DNS Zone Editor tab
All the websites hosted on the Moonlight’s Reseller hosting account use the same nameservers: ns1.moonlighthk.com and ns2.moonlighthk.com

3. the Godaddy Cpanel where we can input the Nameserver details.
2. Now that you know the Nameservers of the website hosting account, it’s time to hook
them to the domain.
Moonlighthk.com domain is registered at Godaddy, so we need to to access
the Godaddy Cpanel where we can input the Nameserver details.
Login to your account at godaddy.com

4. 3. Go to My Account and open Domains Tab On Domains tab Launch the domain control panel you want to use.

6. 5. You will see a pop up where you can change the Nameserver details

7. the domain you chose from Godaddy.
6. Click OK once you have finished and there will be another pop up saying “Your changes have been submitted…” Usually the Nameservers update on 2-10 hours time. Usually the change never takes 48 hours .
Once the Nameservers update you can see the Hostgator hosted account on
the domain you chose from Godaddy.
