The cheapest MW is the one not generated. Start at the beginning. Schedule your no-cost home energy assessment. Take it step by step. Are there recommendations, like weatherization, that will pay for themselves quickly? Leverage existing resources. What incentives/rebates and financing options are available? (e.g., City of Boston, Mass Save, HEAT Loan/financing options, etc.) C&I too What personal actions can I take now?

Your voice is influential.
Energy decisions are made in many places. Decisions about utility-administered energy efficiency plans are weighed in the Energy Efficiency Advisory Council. Meets monthly. First 10 minutes reserved for public comment. Residential seat is currently vacant. Learn more at Efficiency plans set the goals and provide a framework to meet them.

Scale Up Get more renewable energy community-wide.
Community aggregation Allows community to choose more renewables than basic supply. First piloted in Melrose and Dedham, more than a dozen communities are pursuing or implementing plans. Learn more at Boston is exploring Community Choice Energy.

Support an increase in the Renewable Portfolio Standard.
Set the Standard. Support an increase in the Renewable Portfolio Standard. Promotes energy diversity; Spurs local/regional clean energy job growth; Displaces GHG-emitting resources like natural gas (key climate strategy); and Stabilizes energy prices (reducing vulnerability to price volatility inherent to natural gas). Decisions about energy policy in MA will be made better with your input!
