Open the scorecard from the Documents Tab, or from the Task tab whichever is easier for you 3

Edit the scorecard by clicking Actions, and then Edit Scorecard 4

Click Add, and then click KPI 5

Typically KPIs are developed collaboratively with input from all stakeholders. Those KPIs can be stored in the library. For this example we will create an ad hoc KPI by clicking the link 6

Give the KPI a descriptive name and a description
From the pull down menu we indicated that the KPI source is from a Report
Click Select to choose the report and the data element that will populate the Scorecard 7

You have the option to choose a prepackaged report, a custom report that was saved to the Public reports folder, or in this case I created a custom report and saved it to my Personal Workspace
Choose the data field to pull into the scorecard. I am looking for the number of contracts, so I will choose Project Count by clicking on it 8

Review the KPI information and then click Done to save your changes 9

Change the Display from Content to Scoring 10

Click Actions, and then Edit Scorecard
Scroll down to the KPI that we added. Enter the ideal value. Suppose that you have an effort going on to reduce the number of contracts with this supplier. The ideal number would be 1 and the farther you get from 1 the fewer points the supplier would receive.

12. SPM Project Overview Populate a Scorecard from a Report
Click Actions, and then click Synchronize to update the Scorecard with the report data included
Every time the scorecard is updated, the system will run the report and populate the scorecard with the most up to date information.
