Assessments Grades need to reflect what a student knows and can do.
Therefore, summative and formative assessments will be used in this class. Dates for summative assessments will be announced well in advance (tests, projects, etc.), and will be worth more points. Formative assessments will be given frequently. These will include worksheets, notebook checks, labs, participation, quizzes, assignment checks, and other forms of assessment.
7
Grading Grades will be calculated through a point system and this will accumulate throughout the quarter. Grades will be updated on Skyward frequently. There will be a cumulative test at the end of each unit. Assignments (Labs/Notebooks) % Assessments (Tests/Quizzes/Projects) 60%
