Today, there are lots of endangered habitats including forests, oceans, and fresh waters that causes the extinction of other species

Forests are important for life on earth.
4
But they are being destroyed
But they are being destroyed. Deforestation comes in many forms including fires, clear-cutting for agriculture, and unsustainable logging for timber.
5
Oceans Oceans contain the greatest diversity on earth. Humans depend on the oceans for their important natural resources.
6
Overexploitation of fish and other resources, destructive fishing, pollution, and climate change are changing oceans.
7
Freshwater ecosystems support more than 100,000 species.
Freshwaters Freshwater ecosystems support more than 100,000 species.
8
But these freshwater systems are now among the most endangered habitats in the world, due to human development, pollution and climate change.
9
What can be done? Instead of throwing sewage and others waste waters directly into rivers or oceans, they can first be treated to remove toxic metals and other harmful chemicals. Deforested hills can be planted with trees. Support elected officials who work to protect the environment
10
What can an individual do to help?
People can plant variety of trees Stop throwing garbage anywhere We can avoid products made from materials that require destruction of habitats
11
Do not pour fat from cooking down to sink
