5 Paper Review Refinements
Quality of Writing criterion has been reworded to emphasize: Paper must be written well enough to be readily understood Poor English grammar is sufficient grounds for rejection Very poorly written papers may be reject on that basis alone without completing the rest of the review. * Expect more strict review to improve TRR editorial time & cost efficiency The instructions for Authors, Reviewers, Review Coordinators, and Event Planners has been reviewed and revised to clean up material that has accrued over time. Please encourage your review coordinators and reviewers to take advantage of this option in applicable cases. It may seem harsh at first, but we will be doing these authors a favor if it encourages those who are not adept at writing in English to get their papers edited to some degree before submitting them. And it will certainly make it easier for reviewers who are reviewing a large number of papers.

6 Compendium & AMOnline _ □ X The Compendium of Papers will no longer be produced. All the same content will still be accessible, but not in the Compendium format. Eliminates duplication and saves costs AMOnline.trb.org Download Compendium Accepted papers for presentation can no longer opt out of inclusion in AMOnline. Registrants and sponsors have not been able to find a portion of papers from Annual Meeting sessions in AMOnline If a paper is accepted for presentation only, authors will have the option to replace their paper with an extended abstract
