National currency: Sum (1 sum=100 tiyin) The Republic of Uzbekistan is situated in the central part of Central Asia between two rivers: the Amudarya and Syrdarya. The Turan Lowland lies to the northwest, and the Tien-Shan and Pamir-Alay mountain ranges are located in the southeast of the territory.

Share of working age people is 54% (much more than world average) Share of retired population – 7% Share of under working age people – 39%

12 Religious Tolerance The policy of Uzbekistan, one of the Islamic Culture Centers of world, is making on the groundwork of the interreligious and interethnic consent. Over 130 nations of 16 confessions are living in the country. More than religious Organizations are officially registered in Uzbekistan.

13 Religious diversity The right of each person to religious belief is ensured by Uzbek Constitution and the Law on freedom of conscience and religious organizations. There are offered necessary conditions for legal equality, economic and social freedom of all citizens of the country without reference to their national origin and religious affiliation. 88% of the population of Uzbekistan are Muslims 9% - Orthodox 3% - Other religions

14 Tourism development Tourism in Uzbekistan is a national priority for sustainable development. Country has great potential for increasing export of tourism services. more than 1006 organizations are involved in tourism sector of Uzbekistan 506 tour operators more than 500 hotels Increase in investments from 236 to 384 bln. sums in past 3 years.

15 Tourism development Special attention is given to expansion of cooperation with foreign partners in development of domestic tourism industry. A number of marketing project as Mega-info-tours have been organized by “Uzbektourism” to widely present our country’s tourism potential and to increase number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan. In accordance with program of targeted measures on tourism development and tourism services export potential increase in the regions, works on route, infrastructure, development, project documentation preparation, land allocation, hotels construction completion and other measures for region’s tourism potential development are carried out by responsible local authorities

Main target of the government is to build a social oriented market economy. Due to clever and weighted policy of our leader, the average nominal salary is constantly growing each year, as seen on graph below.

Also one of the priorities of the country is historically formed deep care for elder population. This can be observed by: Social support of elderly people; Growth of average pensions from 218,5 to 404,3 thnd. sums during ; Providing address support to elderly in need by Makhalla authorities; Declaration of year of older generation, during which government allocates additional resources to support them. All this is just an additional support to traditional veneration of old people, as a part of Uzbek national culture.

23 Annual inflation rates decrease
Stable economic system, empowered by strong legislation has led to steady decline in national currency inflation rates for the past several years. If in December 2011 average inflation level was – 7,6% In December 2012 it dropped to 7,0% In December 2013 – 6,8% In December 2014 – 6,1% Monthly average inflation during that period dropped from 0,6% to 0,5%

24 Growth of GDP of Uzbekistan
One of the most important indicators of country development is its GDP (Gross Domestic Product). Uzbekistan has been demonstrating a dynamic GDP growth for the whole period since its independence. Statistics show that: in 2011 GDP was 78,8 bln.sums, in 2012 it grew to 97,9 bln.sums, in 2013 – 120,9 bln.sums, in 2014 – 144,9 bln.sums. That is it almost doubled in four years period.

26 Foreign investments climate
The investment legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan is one of advanced amongst legislations of the CIS countries. It comprise major provisions of the international investment law, in particular, regulations. The following laws form the basis of regulatory framework of foreign investments in the Republic of Uzbekistan: Law: “On Foreign Investments”; Law “On Investment Activities”; Law “On Guarantees and Measures of Protection of Rights of Foreign Investors”, as well as several legal acts adopted in the form of resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and government regulations.

28 Foreign trade balance One more significant goal of Uzbekistan’s effective policy is diversification of foreign trade.
