A very centralized approach may work well for a small, private college with a clear identity and centuries of tradition. At UMBC, we’re all about shared governance.

8 GOAL 1: Offer Guidance We generated social media guidelines that serve an educational purpose. We monitor, but do not police, social media.

We offer (1) trainings to answer FAQs, (2) info on external resources, and (3) consultation with SM managers and depts. starting or growing social media accounts.
