2. Mary was engaged to Joseph and an angel told her that she was going to have a baby, which is God’s son. Joseph didn’t like this, so he wanted to divorce her. But an angel came to him in his dream…

3. The angel said, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”

4. A law went out from the emperor, saying that everyone needs to be registered in their own town. Joseph went to Bethlehem to be registered with Mary. While they were there, Mary gave birth to a son called Jesus. They wrapped him in cloths and put him in a manger.

5. Nearby, some shepherds were watching their sheep, and an angel appeared. They were really scared. The angel said, “Fear not for behold I bring good news of great joy. Christ the Lord has been born in the city of David. Go to him.”

6. Wise men came from Jerusalem asking for Jesus
Wise men came from Jerusalem asking for Jesus. They had seen a star high in the sky, and they came at once to find him. They were really excited. They saw Mary with Jesus, and bowed down to worship him. Offerings were given, such as gold, frankincense and myrrh.
