Basketball is just a game, it’s not life.

9 Players will receive notification of their tryout results after school on Nov. 4

10 NOVEMBER 18 A student who failed the 1st six weeks, but is passing all classes for the 2nd six weeks becomes eligible. A student failing the 2nd six weeks becomes ineligible. Eligibility

11 CHS-WMS We will run Centennial’s offense, defense, and drills
Middle School Night with the Titans- Nov. 15 CHS-WMS

12 Player Expectations Recognize and adhere to Wester’s core values
Punctuality Practice, Games, Class Communication grade level head coach for absences or questions Teacher note for tutorials Support and encourage teammates Players will stay for all 3 games on game nights Represent our program with class and dignity at all times Player Expectations

13 Player Expectations Player dress Absences
Plain, black crew socks for practice Shoes must be black, grey, white, yellow, or red Game socks will be provided Absences Players need to appropriate coach if absent Foreseen absences need to be communicated ASAP Player Expectations

14 Must be present at school by noon to play in game
Game day dress Button down or Polo style shirt with slacks or khaki pants Game day meals (optional) Meal forms will be distributed after tryouts No phone/device usage in bleachers at home or away games Travel with team on bus to and from games Game Day Expectations

15 Parent Expectations Recognize and adhere to Wester’s core values
Be encouraging and supportive of all players Be positive Be respectful of coaches, officials, opponents, faculty/staff, and volunteers Send questions to the appropriate source Pick up your athlete from Wester after the “A” game Avoid the bus parking lanes Represent our program with dignity and class And remember… it’s middle school basketball Parent Expectations

16 Season Preview 9 regular season games (4 home, 5 away)
2 tournaments- A team only Holidays Open gym times will be scheduled during winter break Season Preview
