Quote of the Day 15 seconds
Reflection Need to include greater than or equal to. Not a bad lesson. Modeled number 1, they did 2 and 3. Modeled number 4, they did 5 – 9. Good idea to make number 4 EASY. Still have students who have no idea how to solve equations. Second worksheet – pass it out and tell them to do number 1, 2, and 3 in 2 minutes. Go over 1, 2, and 3. Plug in a value that works for each. (try “0” for number 3). It doesn’t work, but we did everything right! That’s because something odd happens when we have a negative. Didn’t really explain WHY, nor do I know the best way to do that.
