Work Out Your Salvation, v.12,13
‘work out’ = a call to continual action ‘work out’ = a call to rest & wrestle ‘work out’ = a call that involves both you and God ‘work out’ = a call to perseverance ‘You and I are to live on the outside what God has done on the inside’

Work Out Your Salvation
This call to ‘work out’ requires us to: Recognize that God has already worked out your salvation for you, v.12; Rom. 8:29,30 Recognize that God is presently working out your salvation in you, v.12; Rom. 8:31-39; Philp. 1:6 Recognize that God delights in this work, v. 13b; John 15:11; Heb.12:3 Recognize that this work involves, ‘fear’ & ‘trembling’, on your part, v. 12b

Work Out Your Holiness ‘Fear & Trembling’ = reverence, awe, careful attention to, not wanting to dishonour ‘Without’ = absence, no evidence of ‘grumbling & disputing’ = discontentment, doubting of God’s intention & love, the opposite of ‘fear & trembling’ Your sanctification is tied to every circumstance in your life! How you respond tells the world something about who God is or isn’t!
