Business Intelligence
Avocado Business Intelligence Policy Based, Business Value Surveillance Overall Security Tampering Guard 2 Guard 1 Business Activity Customer Service Business Intelligence Lets take a look at how organizations view video today, and how Avocado Business Intelligence can help improve organization effectiveness while reducing the Total Cost of Ownership. Statistics have shown that the average security guard or analyst views the video from between 8 and 16 camera’s at the same time. These individuals are responsible for: Are the camera’s operational? Have the camera’s been tampered with? Is anything out of the norm occurring within the video feeds I am viewing? Are there any issues that I need to make other people aware of? Is there an incident occurring that I need to take action on? The guards have a significant amount of responsibility. How can we expect any individual to perform these activities with a high level of accuracy for one camera, let alone 8 or more for an 8-hour shift? With this knowledge how effective do you believe your security infrastructure is? Avocado Business Intelligence solution helps improve the effectiveness of your surveillance solution through Converting Video into data and then creating reports and charts that provides organizations intelligence from dumb video. We deliver several types of reports: The first type of reports provides insight as to how your security infrastructure is operating. Are your camera’s operational? Has anyone tampered with your camera’s? Are my servers capturing the images? Is my network capable of routing the images? These reports are meant to eliminate the requirements for security personnel to monitor the systems availability? The second type of reports converts video into data and then provides reports on the activity from within the video enabling originations with the ability to identify trends and patterns. We will get into this more throughout this presentation.

Intelligent Information
Problems & Opportunities Dumb Video Intelligent Information Camera Moved Off Focus Alerted Damaged Cabling Regional Intelligence Improve CSI Preventive Maintenance Operation Continuity The heterogeneous nature of surveillance solutions generates significant issues for organizations. It is very challenging for organizations to be able to identify if their infrastructure is working properly. Has the network connection to your camera been interfered with or has the cabling been damaged? Has anyone moved your camera? Is your camera operational – is it receiving power or has someone turned it off? Is your camera in focus or has the focus been changed inadvertently or on purpose: CLICK Avocado Business Intelligence is installed at the edge of your network unifying disparate technologies. Avocado provides reports on the operational effectiveness of your surveillance infrastructure reducing the need to for guards to consistently monitor video feeds to determine if the system is working the way it is supposed to. With this knowledge, guards can now focus more of their energy towards assuring the continuity of operations. Click In addition to assuring the systems are working the way they are supposed to, Avocado Security Click, helps organizations derive intelligence that helps business decision making capabilities enabling lines of business with the ability to make impactful business decisions based on real time intelligence derived from video of their operations.

He takes video operational data, mandates, standardizes it and applies BI and Avocado analytics technology, Strategic / CEO View Compliance & Governance Operation Continuity Reviews Dashboard, Decision making charts, ROI, related with Avocado Intelligence Tactical / Managerial / VP View Tactical View / Decisions Facial Information + BI + For CMO – Avocado metrics = marketing data Avocado Security’s Business Intelligence Solution is a role based system that provides individuals different reports over the web based on their role within the organization. Avocado is able to provide a multitude of different reports to different constituents based on their requiremement. For example, Security analyst have the ability to configure security policies within Avocado, defining the roles, rules and security policies for the organization. Once the security policies are created, they can create alerts and notifications to different individuals based on different thresholds. We find that many lines of business are very interested in gaining insight to their operations through reports provided out of the box of Avocado Security. Avocado Provides reports that help organizations determine what specific levels of activity they may be interested in monitoring in order to assure the continuity of operations. For example, the CEO of a retail chain may be interested in monitoring the level of activity – or the number of people that are walking through their stores – in addition – they may want to “mash up” activity data with actual Point of Sales data to better understand the level of activity required to meet sales targets. Avocado provides these reports with minimal configuration. Line of business managers can utilize Avocado reports to manage the operations they are directly responsible for. For example – a restaurant manager wants to increase the average table spend during lunch and dinner. The restaurant manager can simply view the same report that the CEO accessed in the previous example – then configure Avocado to break the data down by each table or section. Then monitor Avocado to monitor for the results you are looking for. Once found, you can then review the video with the employee to determine what actions they took in order to increase the ticket price and utilize the video for training other employees on best practices. Tactical End users of the system realize significant efficiency gains through utilizing Avocado Reports. Avocado enables security personnel to manage by exception vs. watching hours and hours of eventless video footage. A great example is a security company that watches over a campus of business buildings. Previous to Avocado, the company rotated 3 guards during an 8 hour shift. The guards took turns every hour watching video and coordinating the other guards if an incident occurred. Today, they have created alerts within Avocado to notify them if a policy has been broken (such as two people coming through a door with only one access card being swiped) or if something out of the normal range of activity is occurring – they receive these notifications through Avocado providing messages through their mobile phones. Hopefully you are starting to see that Avocado provides information across the enterprise helping drive better decisions that impact business performance and reduce the total cost of ownership of the organizations security operations. Avocado Enterprise V 2.0 A Pattern Detection Surveillance System
Lets take a look at Avocado and how easy it is to create a report. This is an example of an intersection – Avocado provides information about each image – across the entire image. Avocado provides the ability to create sub reports on specific area’s of interest within the image. This example, shows 4 different “policies” that will present 4 individual reports if they are not linked to one another. To create a policy an end user simply selects create a new policy – then clicks on the screen where they would like to create a policy. They are done. Here is an example of an activity report map – Avocado shows each trace of activity for this period of time. The next report reflects the intensity of the activity for a particular period of time. This type of intelligence can be utilized across multiple scenario's to drive significant business value. Whether you are interested in border crossings and want to track the amount of people that are crossing the boarder at a particular time, or if you are interested in understanding the intensity or specific area of interest for where people may be crossing the boarder. Another example would be in a retail facility – imagine having the power of understanding how many people are in your store at a particular time, and where they are spending the majority of their time? This type of information would help stores better place items to drive interest across the stores, in addition, this data could be sold back to the manufacturers so that they better understand the demographic and location that drives their business. Avocado provides the industry's most extensive and integrated functionality in an Security + Business Intelligence solution

Avocado Enterprise V 2.0 A Pattern Detection Surveillance System
Here we are interested in learning more about the traffic patterns at the fueling area as well as the baggage area. Note that when we run Avocado – the area of greatest intensity is in an area we hadn’t even thought of. Avocado converts each video frame into data, then runs our reports from this data. The conversion of Video to data significantly reduces the footprint of the amount of information that needs to be stored. In addition, if there is a change in your operations and you would like to review a different report and see what occurred from the past – this is done by simply creating the report – Avocado automatically has this historic data and creates the new report.

Operation Continuity Policy Based, Business Surveillance
Operation & Compliance Revenue generating areas based on activity, Revenue generating areas based on counting, POS and cash registers Vending machine Additional reports on; Queue length, queue duration At Cash Register Up sell / Post Purchase New customer = facial information Avocado provides the capability to show reports that are helpful to different folks across an organization. This report provides an overview of the intensity of the activity at a hotel desk. This information is helpful to the manager as they can better understand why the intensity is more focused on one side of the desk than another – maybe an employee is not as effective as another, maybe you have an employee that is taking more breaks than the other. The report on the right shows the actual level of activity broken down by hour. This type of information is useful to executives for staffing purposes. If a report tells you that the activity in the morning hours on Monday is greater than that of Tuesday – you may be able to save an additional headcount on times where the additional headcount is not required. Regional Intelligence Policy Based, Business Surveillance
Intrusion Trends / Blind spots Parking availability Front door entrance: In/Out Avocado provides the ability to create multiple reports for a single camera’s view point providing the ability to slide data into different points of reference. The fist example provides visibility into the the amount of activity into the business center of a hotel. The hotel has posted this report to their website providing patrons with the ability to determine the best time of the day for them to gain access to the business center. The second report provides a report on the direction of objects entering a scene – imagine if the Port of New Jersey had Avocado….. They would be able to create an automated alarm or notification if a person or object were to walk the wrong way down a hallway or egress point. The third report shows an example of the entrance of a building. Some of our clients are considering installing infra-red camera’s to determine the level of energy that is leaving their buildings through their egress points to better determine if they should install green revolving doors. The reason we are providing these reports and information on their use is that we are finding that different customers are finding different applications for using this information derived from video to impact different area’s of their business.

Avocado Express 2.0, Policy Based, Business Value Surveillance
The core of the Avocado BI offering is to eliminate the need for Security Guards to monitor the continuity of the surveillance architecture. Avocado provides reports that shows the status of the surveillance environment to the guards – if something is out of sorts – an alert or notification can be sent to the proper person to address the issue. This report shows an example of the business activity – or amount of activity being gathered at that point in time – if this is out of norm the guard can then drill down into the reports to find out what the issue may be. Very similarly this report shows that the DVR is operating at 50% of its Threshold. The guard can drill into the report to determine what the real issue it. Lets face it – how do organizations realize that there is something wrong with their DVR or NVR? Typically it is after an incident has occurred and someone cannot retrieve the video of the incident – it is too late at that point in time – Avocado prevents this situation from occurring.
