Participants write one assumption about the topic under discussion on an index card
Each group member should create 2-3 cards
Pool everyone’s cards and shuffle \

Letter off A-B-C-D; Identify a recorder
Person “A” selects a card and reads it aloud
Group members identify possible assumptions related to the response on the card; the recorder creates a running list of these assumptions
Repeat the pattern with “B”, “C” and “D” drawing cards in turn \
