Class Presidential Campaign & Election Project
Directions: In groups of 3-4, create a presidential campaign speech, slogan, and poster. Prior to beginning your group’s campaign, you will need to choose a current political party to identify yourselves with, and roles for each member of your group. Roles: 1) Presidential Candidate: In charge of researching, writing, & delivering a campaign speech. The speech should be 2-3 minutes long. 2) Vice Presidential Candidate: Aid in speech, slogan, and poster research and development. You’re the utility man/woman. 3) Campaign Manager(s): In charge of putting together the campaign slogan and poster. * This is for a group grade. Please remember that in order to be successful you will need to work as a TEAM to complete your project. This means that regardless of your assigned role, you may still have to help out your group members in order to ensure your own success. (Hint: Choose your groups wisely!!!)

Speech, Slogan, and Poster
Each group is responsible for getting their own poster board! Mr. McDonald will sell 22’’ x 28” poster boards for $1.00 each. Mr. McDonald will provide markers and glue. *YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PURCHASE A POSTER BOARD FROM MR. MCONALD, HOWEVER, THE POSTER BOARD YOU PURCHASE AND USE MUST BE NO SMALLER THAN 22’’ X 28’’. *Your campaign (speech, slogan, and poster) should focus on three current, research based, issues/campaign promises. These promises should deal with either current world (ex. Climate Change, ISIS, Immigration, North Korea and/or Poverty/Hunger) and/or domestic (within the US) issues (ex. Public Education, Economic Issues (Jobs), Gun Control and/or National Healthcare Reform). Three, total! You can choose to focus on GLOBAL or DOMESTIC, or do a combination of them.
