Business Scenario Solution name
Business Service Management Solution on AIX® 6.1 Description This solution document describes the details of the Business Service Management Solution environment deployed for the IBM Software Technology Group and Tivoli® integration test in the Bedrock project environment. Project Bedrock was created to address scenario-based testing to ensure maintenance levels are installed, configured, and tested together as a solution stack. You follow a well-documented path to move from one level of the solution stack to the next. The Bedrock project name was chosen to portray the end goal of delivering a solid foundation of products working together on which the solutions run. Existing environment Any combination of non-integrated IT, non-IT, or general business technology pillar monitoring or management tools; multiple IT silos with independent, non-integrated tools; operations and support teams with inefficient workflow and process; visibility gaps in end-to-end event management; environments where you are unable to automate event-to-incident management.

Business Context Description
In this scenario, Tivoli software products are introduced into the organization to improve end-to-end business service, application, process, activity and transaction availability, performance, capacity, quality and user experience. By using the scenario, you can consolidate disparate IT and non-IT business management and monitoring tools, applications, and solutions. Based on business goals and objectives, the scenario provides visibility, understanding, and the appropriate context for management.
