Sponsored by Academic Senate Foundation for California Community Colleges Started development of courses in 2014 ASCCC's Curriculum Development Certificate of Completion Certificate achieved after successful completion of five courses

Enhance professional development opportunities for colleges and districts through the IEPI Specialized Training program The online Professional Learning Network (PLN) Regional workshops Applied Solutions Kits (ASKs)

Professional Learning Network (PLN)
Foster collaboration among all employees in CCC and provide a forum for information and idea sharing The Budget Act provides ongoing support for the PLN as part of the Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative (IEPI)

Community College Professional Development Program
Legislated by AB 2558 (Williams, 2014) Eliminate the Community College Faculty and Staff Development Fund and instead establish the Community College Professional Development Program Allocate funding to community college districts that provide professional development opportunities for both faculty and staff in accordance with rules and regulations adopted by the board of governors Districts receiving this funding must include the employee’s time used participating in the Community College Professional Development Program in the employee’s contractually obligated hours Problem: Legislation has never been funded for implementation Chancellor’s Office PD Workgroup – Summer/Fall 2017 Propose rules and regulations referred to in AB 2558 in preparation for funding
