Consume huge amounts of food but do not purge Food used as coping mechanism for strong emotions/depression Consequences: unhealthful weight gain, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, gallbladder problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, increase risk of certain cancers
