3. Noun subjects
Noun subjects use the same verb form as the pronouns you use to replace them.
Example:
Sophie et Mark ont deux chiens. = Ils ont deux chiens.

4. La negation (The negative)
To make a sentence negative, place ne…pas around the verb. *
Examples:
Ca va. Ca ne va pas.
Marcus a un livre. Marcus n’a pas de livre. **
*Ne becomes n’ before a verb that begins with a vowel.
**Un, une and des all become de in the negative.
