to make sure that the existing knowledge and experience of older employees in the key processes of SMEs are registered, embedded in the organization and transferred in the most efficient way
the less experienced employees are given the chance to learn permanently and to adapt themselves to the constant changing demand in knowledge and competences

The Lisbon target: activity rate of 50% with the 55+ in the EU-countries by 2010
Situation in Flanders in 2005: 31,8 %
European average in 2005: 42,5 %
Mobility from inactivity to work is almost nothing in category years.
