Neutrinos in Cosmology & Astrophysics
In this talk, I'll present recent information on neutrino physics that can be inferred from cosmology and astrophysics. In the first part of the talk, I'll discuss about the evidence for cosmic neutrino background from CMB data, as recently reported by the Planck collaboration. In particular, I'll investigate the robustness of this conclusion, considering massive neutrinos and extended cosmological models. In the second part of the talk, I will discuss about the recent IceCube results on high-energy neutrinos and, in light of these results, I'll review the possibility of observing the sources of Galactic cosmic rays. In particular, I'll consider some of the sources detected by the Milagro detector.
