TwoSpect Scorpius X-1 mock data challenge, September 2013 Evan Goetz (AEI—Hannover), Grant David Meadors, Keith Riles (University of Michigan) TwoSpect searches for patterns in doubly-Fourier transformed data to find periodic orbital modulations in a signal from a neutron star in a binary system. Designed for all-sky search Adaptable to directed, e.g. Scorpius X-1 Doppler-modulation template tests of a x101 pixel sky grid show the positions of lowest false alarm probability* for a simulated Sco X-1 pulsar H1 L1 V1 * An estimate of the false alarm probability is computed from template weight values and estimates of the noise background

TwoSpect Scorpius X-1 mock data challenge, September 2013 Evan Goetz (AEI—Hannover), Grant David Meadors, Keith Riles (University of Michigan) TwoSpect parameter space spans sky location, modulation depth (df) and frequency (f) for Scorpius X-1 (assuming known period) Templated tests of show extremal false alarm probability at injected parameters. 5 Hz band: Narrow-band 11x11 heatmaps agree between sites H1 L1 V1
