5 Church of the Sacred Family
Massive, Roman Catholic Church that is under construction and won’t be fully completed until 2026! Amazing design and work of world renown artist Antoni Gaudi. Construction stated in 1883 and has made Catalonia, Spain a tourist destination for years. The church will have 18 towers that represent the 12 apostles, the four evangelists, the Virgin Mary, and the tallest one to represent Jesus Christ. The Church will also feature three enormous facades. The Glory façade facing the South, the Nativity façade facing the East and the Passion façade facing the West.

7 Tradition and Celebrations
Every New Year begins in Barcelona with a Carnival Party. A good luck tradition is to try to eat 12 grapes during the last 12 seconds of the finishing year. On January 5, the procession of the Three Magi takes place, who will bring the little children gifts the next morning. (Similar to our Santa Claus) On March 3, a popular festival of San Medir occurs, with big parades and singing in the streets.

9 Cuisine Cuisine of Catalonia is much more seasonal then the cuisine found in the other parts of Spain, based on fresh ingredients. Most Famous dish in Catalonia is called Zarzuela de Mariscos which is a mess of shellfish in white-wine sauce, made of shrimp, clams, crustaceans, and various other types of seafood.
